Dafi: Another teen sensation!

Gaddafi bin Ismail Sabri or Dafi as he is popularly known, came into limelight after he was on the popularity charts of the famous show called Akademi Fantasia. Akademi Fantasia is a very popular music show, which have given excellent voices each year. Dafi, is one such voice that has taken the Malaysian audience by storm. This is one of the first reality television shows that the Malaysian audiences have been subjected too and this has already found a lot of takers.

Two year’s back, the event has found a very cute guy, who had taken the Malaysian television by storm and when asked about his popularity, he humbly replied that he was not even in the finals. After he was voted out in the eight week of the show, a lot of hearts were broken in Malaysia. This twenty one year old sensation was probably the most sought after rather than the competitors who have made it to the end and as a reason why, two years down the line he has his first album out. When asked about what he wanted to do in life, he said that he had always wanted to be a singer and that is what he is looking forward to. He started singing at the year of twelve and since then he has not looked back. Life of Dafi

The Malaysian singer Dafi instantly shot to fame after the fifth season Akademi Fantasia, a hit reality TV show in 2007. His full name is Gaddafi Ismail Sabri. It was his first ever appearance. Ever since then, the number of fans for Dafi is increasing. Dafi soon became the teenage heart-throb. He was chosen as the Berita Harien’s Readers’ Choice for the same year.

Dafi was only 19 years old when he made his first appearance on the reality show of Malaysia. He was among the thousands who came to the auditions for the show. He lasted only till week 7 of the show but today, he is the most talented and most popular newcomers in the music industry of Malaysia.

After his stint in the show, Dafi was signed by Norman, Yusry and Edry Halim. They are the icons of KRU Music Group. It was their confidence that Dafi can be groomed for stardom and they were right. Dafi’s Journey on Akademi Fantasia

The 19 year old GadDafi Ismail Sabri or Dafi was one of the thousands of participant s who came for the auditions of the hit reality TV show of Malaysia, Akademi Fantasia. It was season 5 of the show in 2007. He was shortlisted for the show and its all history after that.

During his first ever appearance on a TV show, Dafi was a confident singer. He became popular very soon and today he is considered to be one of the most popular entrants in the music industry on Malaysia. He has become the heart-throb of teenagers and there are many fan clubs associated with his name. In the first week of Akademi Fantasia, he performed the song “Uptown Girl” by Westlife. The first episode of the show was aired on March 17, 2007. In the second episode, Dafi sang “Pencinta Wanita” by Irwansyah.

During the third week, he chose to sing the song “Aku Tanpa Cintamu” by Mirwana. There was no elimination in this episode. In the next week of his performance, he performed on the song “Zikir Kasih” by Amir Ukays. In the fifth week, Dafi chose to sing “Bibir Mesra Jiwa Parah” by Zam Zam. Read more…
