Life of Dafi
The Malaysian singer Dafi instantly shot to fame after the fifth season Akademi Fantasia, a hit reality TV show in 2007. His full name is Gaddafi Ismail Sabri. It was his first ever appearance. Ever since then, the number of fans for Dafi is increasing. Dafi soon became the teenage heart-throb. He was chosen as the Berita Harien’s Readers’ Choice for the same year.
Dafi was only 19 years old when he made his first appearance on the reality show of Malaysia. He was among the thousands who came to the auditions for the show. He lasted only till week 7 of the show but today, he is the most talented and most popular newcomers in the music industry of Malaysia.
After his stint in the show, Dafi was signed by Norman, Yusry and Edry Halim. They are the icons of KRU Music Group. It was their confidence that Dafi can be groomed for stardom and they were right. The release of his song “Bila Terasa Rindu” has met with instant success and even made to the charts.
Recently, he came together with two of his co-contestants on the show, Mila and Akim to sing a song “Through My Window” and work on a music video for the song. The song was recorded on a CD and sent to various media companies. Ever since then, the song is doing rounds on radio, television, and other media.
This mystery song “Through My Window” was available on the CD along with only the lyrics and a URL. It has received phenomenal success in a very short time. The Website alone has got a records number of hits in just four days.
In his personal life Dafi prefers to visit places with theme parks where he can move around and shop. During holidays, if he happens to be with family, he enjoys spending quality time with them. If he is with friends, he prefers going out and indulging in some fun-filled activities.
But he likes his holidays to be spent with his family. The entire family goes for vacation at least once every year. Genting Highlands in Malaysia and Kuala Lumpur is the favorite holiday destination of Dafi.
Dafi likes collecting antiques. He purchases antiques whenever he can lay his hands on them. In food, Dafi likes to eat nasi lemak and Kelantan’s nasi dagang. He has been chosen as the activist for Adventure Community and actively participates in Promotional activities.
